Wild Day

Yesterday was insane.

It was my day off, and I sure managed to fill it up with fun things to do.

I decided to use it to help BOH sell stuff. I brought along my econ book to read while selling, but that didn’t really happen. I read a bit, and during my break I got some more done.

Then I had pho with Lindsay, then I had to book it right to work. I planned on reading in the gaps, but there simply were no gaps.

I worked for a little bit, and right after work I met with some STINT recruitment guy. It was a short conversation, much shorter than I expected.

I found a break to read before my dinner with Julius Achon, but not enough to finish. Lindsay showed up and we spent dinner chatting.

Somehow, I turned into his Santa Barbara liason, helping him with his slides and everything. I love the way Ugandans culturally embrace public speaking. He was ready to speak about whatever. Such a great, just-wing-it philosophy.

I stayed with him through Real Life and helped him collect donations for his hospital.

Afterwards, I came home and finished the freaking Econ article and caught the back end of the Clippers’ game. I kept debating on whether or not to go to Dargans to join everyone already there, but since they confirmed my suspicion that it wouldn’t be worth it with them going back so soon, I didn’t.

Instead we all met up at the Plex to play King’s Cup. I played with a Guiness and that game is so different when you actually like what you’re drinking.

Later in the night I hung out with Daniel. We ended up at 7-11 where we couldn’t find brownie mix. Instead we got random crap to deep fry- Reese’s and Snoballs. I almost burned down his house with the Reese’s. The big winner, though, ended up being the deep fried Pop-Tarts we concocted. Yum.

I got home at 2am, after my entire day had been playing keep-away with me and my house. Totally okay with that, though.
