Senior Retreat

It was great.

We got there late on Friday night, since we had some issues with directions, and we didn’t really get free until late. But we got there in time to play some games in the cabin. We mostly hung out until late.

Someone also came up with the idea to go skinny dipping at very cold temperatures. But, that’s a very memorable experience, so it ended up happening.

Yesterday, we had a few casual sports going on, and a lot of hanging out, catching up, or just lying around the house together. I put a good dent in Dorian Grey. In the morning, we had a cool discussion about relationships, and it felt like a very satisfying one.

I also helped Derek with the barbecue, although it was getting late. Jake came out to help, and I got to have a good talk with them both. We discovered some stuff we share in common.

We played some games into the night that got real fun.

The whole thing was so well put together. Lydia did an awesome job. Cozy cabins in an awesome location with good friends and plentiful food- and for less than I would’ve spent if I just stuck around IV living my normal life.

It felt like what a retreat should feel like. Very refreshing and relaxing. The lake was beautiful.

Spending time with everybody was my favourite part. While we’re here, we’re always so rushed every day. It was so good to get everyone together on a day where there would be no rushing going on. Just getting to spend time with each other.
